Panamanian José Caballero of the New York Yankees Responds Again with his Running Skills

The Yankees player from Los Santos in Panama pictured above has five stolen bases in the Major Leagues.

Panamanian José Caballero once again demonstrated that speed is his trademark. This Monday he stole his fifth base of the season, despite the New York Yankees 1-0 loss to the Athletics in a game played at Yankee Stadium.  Caballero stole the base in the fifth inning, after getting on base due to an error by third baseman Andy Ibañez.

With that steal, the player from Los Santos is tied for fourth place in this department in the Major Leagues, along with his teammate Jazz Chisholm Jr., as well as Nico Hoerner (Chicago Cubs) and Chandler Simpson (Tampa Bay Rays).  Ahead of them are Jacob Marsee (Miami Marlins) with six stolen bases, Nasim Nuñez (Washington Nationals) with seven, and the leader is Bobby Witt Jr., with eight.  It is worth remembering that last season, ‘Chema’, as he is also known, was the leader in stolen bases in the Major Leagues with 49.
