The Miss Universe Panama / Señorita Panamá organization announced a decision that marks a turning point in the country’s beauty pageants: the official creation of the Miss Universe Las Tablas franchise, which seeks to highlight the tourist and cultural value of this emblematic region. Las Tablas, recognized as the birthplace of the largest carnival in Central America and a symbol of Panamanian traditions, is now positioning itself more strongly on the map of beauty pageants, aiming to project its identity at a national and international level.
In this new chapter, Isabella Kristina Núñez Cedeño, a young woman from Tablas born on May 18, 2006, was presented as the official candidate for Miss Universe Panama 2026, standing out for her elegance, confidence and cultural roots. The organization highlighted that her participation goes beyond the catwalk, as she represents the essence, pride and cultural richness of her land, becoming an ambassador of Las Tablas to the world.
With this announcement, the call for entries for the regional pageant for future hopefuls who dream of reaching Miss Universe Panama 2027 was also officially opened, beginning what they already describe as a new era for beauty in Tablas.
