Panama’s Acodeco Orders Their Use Suspended: Warns of Possible Malfunction in Frigidaire Stoves

The Consumer Protection and Competition Authority (Acodeco) posted that the models involved are PCFG3080AF, GCRG3060BF, FCRG3052BS, FCRG3083AS and GCFG3059BF.

The Consumer Protection and Competition Defense Authority (Acodeco) issued a safety notice following a notification from the manufacturer regarding some stove models marketed in Panama under the Frigidaire, Frigidaire Gallery and Frigidaire Professional brands.  According to information provided by Electrolux Home Products International, a division of Electrolux Consumer Products, Inc. (Electrolux Group), a potential safety issue related to slow ignition in the bake burner has been identified.  The stove may look like the one below. 

“This situation could eventually cause a perception of gas odor, the formation of an invisible flame or, in certain cases, a possible gas leak,” the agency warned.  The models involved are PCFG3080AF, GCRG3060BF, FCRG3052BS, FCRG3083AS and GCFG3059BF, manufactured between June 1, 2025 and October 31, 2025, with serial numbers ranging from VF52200000 to VF54399999.  In Panama, 96 units were acquired by local distributors, including Tech & House, Panafoto SA, Ace International Hardware and Central America Appliance.
