An Inflationary Effect will be Felt in Panama Due to the Conflict in the Middle East

With rising oil prices, citizens will have to pay more for fuel, and it’s possible that other products like transportation and food will also increase in price as a result.   Economists and experts indicate that the rise in fuel prices due to the armed conflict will also impact the costs of maritime, land, and air transport, which will have an effect on the production and marketing chains of food and other products.  There will be a short term rise in global trade costs.  Stock up and buy locally.

The United States Claims to have Destroyed 17 Iranian Ships and Hundreds of Ballistic Missiles

The U.S. military said Tuesday it had destroyed 17 Iranian military ships and hundreds of ballistic missiles during operations this week following Operation Epic Fury last weekend.  The U.S. Army Central Command said in an update posted on its X account that dozens of its bombers destroyed 17 ships and a submarine during a mission at a military port in the south of the Islamic nation.  A total of 2,000 targets have been attacked, including 100 ballistic missiles that were destroyed, according to Admiral Brad Cooper, head of Central Command.

Cooper, who plays a leading role in US operations in the Middle East, explained that the destruction of the Iranian ships has left the regime without any identifiable military vessels in the Persian Gulf or the Gulf of Oman, where they had maintained a presence for decades.  In addition, the United States armed forces indicate that Iran possesses 5,000 ballistic missiles and another 2,000 drones that are among the targets being attacked jointly with Israel.

Regarding new developments in the operations, Admiral Cooper indicated that the Army has carried out massive drone attacks with the “Scorpion Strike” task force, whose design is inspired by weaponry originally created in Iran and adapted in the United States to carry out unidirectional attacks on a large scale.  This is the first war report made directly by the high-ranking military officer in charge of operations in the area since hostilities began over the weekend.  Prior to this update and precise data on the destroyed military targets, Secretary of State Marco Rubio had told the Senate that the intensity of the attacks would increase in the coming hours.
