Four Days of Carnival with Tradition and Safety: Las Tablas and Santiago are Ready

Both Las Tablas and Santiago are preparing to welcome thousands of people, reaffirming their commitment to keeping Panama’s cultural traditions alive.  For four days, this spot will become the center of music, parades, queens, water tankers and activities that attract crowds.  The countdown to the carnivals has already begun and the cities of Las Tablas, in the province of Los Santos, and Santiago, in Veraguas, are ready to receive thousands of national and foreign visitors who arrive every year to enjoy one of the most anticipated festivities in Panama, as stated by Alcibíades Rangel, coordinator of structures for these events.

In the city of Las Tablas, considered the cradle of the most colorful and traditional carnivals in Panama, the authorities and the organizing committee have reported that the logistics are practically ready in Belisario Porras Park, the epicenter of the celebrations.  For four days, this spot will become the center of music, parades, queens, water tankers and activities that attract crowds looking to experience the festive atmosphere characteristic of the region.  Luis De León, representative of the mayor’s office in the city of Santiago, explained that the members of the carnival organizing committee confirmed that the Placita San Juan de Dios will be, as is tradition, the main stage for the water fights.

This venue is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, featuring live performances by artists on stage, guaranteed clean water, and police security to ensure the safety of attendees.  Organizers from both cities agreed that the carnivals are designed for healthy and responsible enjoyment. Therefore, they have coordinated efforts with security agencies, health entities, and local authorities to guarantee order and safety during the four days of festivities.  Both Las Tablas and Santiago are thus preparing to welcome thousands of people, reaffirming their commitment to keeping Panama’s cultural traditions alive in the joyful, musical, and family-friendly atmosphere that characterizes Panamanian carnivals.
