Coclé Gets its Revenge and Defeats Los Santos in Las Tablas
Coclé responded with authority, blanking Los Santos 7-0 and securing their place at the top of youth baseball with a dominant performance from start to finish.
The Coclé team came out with fire in their eyes and a thirst for revenge in their match against Los Santos at the Roberto “Flaco Bala” Hernández Stadium in Las Tablas. With a dominant performance on both sides of the ball, the Red Firewood team won 7-0, securing second place in the National Youth Baseball Championship and notching their sixth consecutive victory, capping off a perfect week. The Coclé team, inspired from their first at-bat, struck early. Jaime Escudero led off the game by drawing a walk and, after a wild pitch, advanced to second and then third. With one out and a runner on third, Ricardo Acosta also drew a walk, putting runners on the corners. In the next at-bat, an RBI single to center field by Aníbal Sánchez drove in Escudero and Acosta.

Jeykol De León was key, hitting a single that led to an error by pitcher Brandy Mendoza, driving in De Gracia and Escudero.
After Ricardo Acosta walked, Aníbal Sánchez responded with another single, driving in Jeykol De León for the fifth run of the game. After four and a half innings, Coclé was leading 5-0. The Coclé team added two more runs to seal the victory. The sixth came in the top of the seventh, scored by Escudero after another wild pitch. The seventh and final run came in the top of the ninth, when a single by Lucas López allowed Escudero to cross home plate for the third time that night. Beyond their offensive power, the Red Wood team relied on a solid defensive performance. Throughout the nine innings, they allowed only three hits and committed a single error. With this victory, Coclé reached 11 wins of the season, with only three losses, reaffirming a great moment in the competition for them.

In other games that night, Veraguas blanked Colón 8-0 , Herrera defeated Darién 10-0 by default, Chiriquí Occidente shut out Panamá Metro 7-0, and Chiriquí edged Panamá Este 5-2. The game between Panamá West and Bocas del Toro was suspended due to bad weather with West leading 4-0 in the top of the fourth inning.
