Several Injuries Reported: A Bus Crashed on the Bridge Over the Pacora River

Pacora:  A traffic accident occurred on Monday night, January 12, on the bridge over the Pacora River in East Panama, when a public transport bus overturned, leaving several people injured.  According to initial reports, the vehicle involved lost its rear axle. The accident caused heavy traffic in the area, with many people returning home. 

Unofficially, it was learned that there were approximately 30 passengers on board and at least one fatality; however, authorities have not yet officially confirmed this information nor provided details on the health status of the occupants. The first images of the accident began circulating on social media, generating concern among drivers and residents of the area, due to the magnitude of the accident and the heavy traffic in the area.  The Panama Fire Department and emergency teams attended to the injured.
