Miss Panama: “Mirna Caballini was not Abandoned and her Election was Legitimate”

The Miss Panama Organization defended itself against accusations on social media and denied the unfounded information that some fans have spread regarding Mirna Caballini’s participation in the Miss Universe 2025 pageant.  Apparently, rumors have circulated on social media that the beauty queen left to her own devices, while others claimed that she navigated this international competition on her own. 

“Our candidates are transported, in most cases, to Tocumen International Airport by a limousine and executive transportation service provider. In 2025, this transfer was carried out by the company Panama Limousines Events, which used two cars to provide the service,” he began. 

She adds that each candidate, upon arrival in the host country, is greeted at the airport by Miss Universe Organization staff and taken by the local committee to the host hotel. “Mirna Caballini was transported along with other candidates, so it is absolutely false that she had any problems or that she traveled alone.” 

They explain that at no time was the candidate abandoned, as these people claim.  In addition, the entire packing process, coordinated by the Miss Panama Organization, took place at the hotel, which offered its amenities for more than a week. 

César Anel stated that more than a dozen national and international designers contributed their work, including: Maison Murad, Lily Noguera, Eddy Armas, Daniel Cortina, Enger Luces, Jair Batista, José Díaz Jurado, among others.  The airfare for candidate Mirna Caballini was arranged by the Miss Panama SA Organization. 

Finally, they defended Mirna Caballini’s representation, emphasizing that it was legitimate and never an appointment. “She holds the title of reigning Miss Universe Panama 2024, following the established succession procedures. Our organization and the candidate continue to work hand in hand in complete harmony,” they stated.
