On the Costa Abajo Coast of Colón in Panama, a Dolphin was Rescued after Being Stranded
Community members and Senan staff worked together to free the dolphin.
The dolphin was taken by boat to deeper waters and released.
A dolphin that had become stranded on the coast of the township of Piña, in the district of Chagres, on the Lower Coast of the province of Colón, was rescued in a quick joint action between agents of the National Aeronaval Service (Senan) and residents of this coastal community. According to information about the case, the dolphin was carefully moved to deeper waters.

This is with the aim of promoting their well-being and increasing their chances of survival. The procedure was performed following precautionary measures to avoid causing it additional stress or injury. The dolphin was transported by boat to deeper waters and released to promote its survival. Many of these dolphins seem to become disoriented and stranded, and most of the time they end up on the shores of the beaches.
