Copa Airlines Suspends Flights to and from Maracaibo Until January 6
Copa Airlines announced that passengers can request a refund for unused or partially used tickets.
Copa Airlines announced on Saturday, January 3, the temporary suspension of its flights to and from Maracaibo, Venezuela, due to the closure of La Chinita International Airport. According to the statement, the measure will be in effect until Tuesday, January 6, 2026, so during that period no flights will be operating on this route.
With the aim of providing alternatives to passengers who had flights scheduled up to the indicated date, the airline announced several options without additional charges. These include changing the date and/or changing the origin or destination within the same region, as well as cancelling the trip, keeping the ticket value as credit for a future date. Copa Airlines also announced that passengers can request a refund for unused or partially used tickets, a process that can be carried out through its official website.
