During the anniversary celebration of the 9th Police Zone of Veraguas, Sub-Commissioner Luis Hernández, head of the 4th Police Zone of Chiriquí, participated in a formal ceremony where he emphasized the importance of inter-regional coordination to strengthen public safety. In his remarks, he acknowledged the commitment, discipline, and dedication of the men and women who serve in this police zone.  In his message, Sub-Commissioner Hernández publicly praised the effort, courage, and dedication of the officers who reaffirm their commitment to the safety and well-being of the community every day.

He highlighted the exemplary performance of seven units recognized for their operational work, including a female officer who leads in checks and arrests, as well as the Lince team, whose rapid response has been key in recovering vehicles and apprehending suspects in high-risk situations.  Among recent achievements, he mentioned the apprehension in less than 30 minutes of those responsible for an armed robbery and the swift capture of the alleged perpetrator of a homicide in Boquete, which occurred in approximately one hour.

“My focus has always been on highlighting the work of our units and publicly recognizing it whenever possible,” said Hernández, who reaffirmed his intention to institutionalize these recognitions on a monthly basis. The National Police thus reiterates its commitment to strengthening its human resources, recognizing that the professionalism and dedication of its units are essential pillars for a safe and peaceful society.
