Are You a Diver? Panama will Host an International Diving Congress
The international maritime industry will meet in Panama to discuss, among other topics, the professional development of diving in the region. The Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI) announced that the event is being held at the UW Ships Husbandry Seminar & ADCI Latin American & Caribbean Chapter Meeting , organized by the Panama Chamber of Shipping in collaboration with regional partners. The congress will take place on October 14 and 15, 2025, at the Sheraton Grand Panama Hotel pictured below.
The organizers emphasize that the meeting sets the standard for operational excellence, safety, and professional development in commercial diving in Latin America and the Caribbean. It is also highlighted that the high-level congress is designed to bring together leaders, regulators, and professionals from the shipping, diving, port, and marine engineering sectors, confirming Panama’s strategic position as a key logistics hub.
The Program is Structured in 2 Essential Days
October 14: Underwater Ships Husbandry Seminar. This technical workshop will focus on safe and effective underwater vessel maintenance practices. It will bring together vessel owners, port authorities, marine engineers, and service providers to address operational challenges and the latest innovations.
October 15: ADCI Latin American & Caribbean Chapter Meeting. Attendees will discuss regional standards alignment, international regulatory updates, workforce development, and digital certification tools. A crucial forum for diving contractors, training institutions, and regulators.
