The Agricultural Marketing Institute (IMA) announced on its social media this Tuesday that some 800,000 Christmas boxes will be distributed during the 2025 Naviferias at 160 locations across the country.   Naviferias is an initiative that brings essential products to thousands of Panamanian homes at affordable prices.   According to the IMA, each Christmas box, which will cost 15 dollars, will include 5 pounds of rice, ground corn, salt, pigeon peas, a can of sliced ​​pineapple or oil, sugar, and a piece of Picnic ham.  Nilo Murillo, director general of the IMA, emphasized that this year they will visit more sites throughout the country, expanding the scope of the Naviferias to benefit more Panamanian families.  “We are committed to providing quality products at fair prices, ensuring rapid and efficient distribution,” said the IMA director.  The Naviferias seek to support the family economy during the end-of-year holidays by promoting access to basic foodstuffs throughout Panama.
