In Chiriquí Province Panama, the Alleged Perpetrator of the Theft of Tools and Technological Equipment has been Arrested
The simultaneous raids were carried out in several residences located in the districts of Bugaba and Alanje.

Chiriquí: The National Police, through “Operation Shrew”, managed to recover a significant amount of tools, technological equipment and machinery allegedly stolen through aggravated theft in the province of Chiriquí. The operation, coordinated with the Public Ministry, focused on simultaneous raids on several residences located in the districts of Bugaba and Alanje.
Arrested and Items Seized
Authorities arrested a citizen, who was handed over to the competent authorities to begin the investigation and prosecution process. The investigation, led by units from the Intelligence Section, led to the discovery of the alleged loot in several locations, including the towns of Canta Gallo and La Concepción. The variety of items recovered suggests that the group operated with a wide range of targets, affecting homes as well as small businesses and workshops.
Among the Recovered Equipment Are:
- Heavy machinery and tools: Power generators, drills, blowers, lawn mowers, hoses, and an iron press.
- Technological and household items: Cell phones, a water pump, and sound equipment.
- Miscellaneous: Wooden frames and wheelbarrows.
All of these elements are allegedly related to multiple complaints of crimes against economic assets and will be key pieces in the investigative process that seeks to identify all those involved in this aggravated theft network.
