The National Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (IDAAN) reported that tomorrow, Tuesday, September 23, preventive cleaning work will be carried out at the Penonomé raw water intake to ensure the proper functioning of the pumping equipment.  During this period, the Penonomé water treatment plant will suspend operations, resulting in disruptions to the drinking water supply in several areas.

The affected communities will be: Chigoré, El Carmen, Cristo Rey, Paseo del Río, Villas de Llano Marín, CRUC, Cerro Centenario, December 8, Miraflores, El Prado and Altos del Prado.   Service will also be affected in Las Lomas, Villa Cumbrera, Villa Bonita, Pueblo Nuevo, Vista Hermosa, Las Delicias, Villa Karola, San Antonio, Central Avenue and surrounding areas.   Idaan recommends that residents take the necessary precautions to ensure water is available during the service interruption.
