In the “Badly Parked” Operation in Panama: ATTT has Issued 170 Violations

The Land Transit and Transportation Authority (ATTT) has issued 170 violations and removed 91 illegally parked vehicles at various points in the capital city as part of the “Illegally Parked” operation.  “We are implementing the ‘Badly Parked’ operation on the capital’s roads because we want more fluid traffic. Some drivers are very irresponsible when it comes to parking, considering that Panama doesn’t have such wide avenues,” said Simón Henríquez, director general of the ATTT.

According to the agency, the areas with the highest number of sanctions include Punta Pacífica, the Santo Tomás Hospital area, and Avenida Cuba, where a notable improvement in traffic flow has already been reported.  The operation also covered other important areas such as Obarrio, Avenida Ecuador, and Costa del Este.  The initiative, which began in June, aims to improve traffic flow and strengthen road safety.  The ATTT reiterates that these actions seek to ensure safer and more orderly mobility for all.
