In Panama the Former Director of AIG Luis Oliva has been Arrested

Luis Oliva pictured above, former director of The National Authority for Government Innovation (AIG) during the administration of Laurentino “Nito” Cortizo, has been arrested, reported Jaime Fernández, Director of the National Police.  Also apprehended in Operation Espejo were: Janice Becerra, Ralph and Buddy Attie.  In addition, four search warrants were carried out for alleged crimes against public administration, including corruption of public servants, embezzlement, and criminal conspiracy. 

Those arrested are linked to the management of the Listo platform, created for scholarships from the Institute for the Training and Utilization of Human Resources (FARHU), digital vouchers, and Pase-U, which are being investigated for alleged multimillion-dollar irregularities.  These arrests took place amid a deployment by the National Police and the Public Ministry in Panama City.
