Eight More Months of Traffic Congestion Expected for Centenario Road in Panama City
Work on this important highway, which connects West Panama with Panama City, will include repairs to more than 5,000 square meters of deteriorated paving slabs.

For another eight months, Centenario Highway will experience partial closures along the entire length of the road due to rehabilitation and replacement of the concrete pavement, works that are part of the Ministry of Public Works’ (MOP) “Tapa Hueco” program.

They indicated that the project has a nine-month completion period, and currently only one month has elapsed, leaving eight months remaining until completion. All of this is happening amidst a significant traffic jam along Centenario Highway, where more than 25,000 vehicles travel daily during rush hour.
