Today, Sunday, March 23 Mexico vs. Panama with all the previews starting at 7:00 pm. The time has come. Panama is on the verge of a new chapter in its soccer history. Tonight, in Inglewood, California, the national team faces Mexico in the grand final of the Concacaf Nations League. It’s not just a game; it’s a chance to show that effort, struggle, and sacrifice that have brought us this far. It’s a chance to make history. The road hasn’t been easy. From the start of this tournament, Panama has shown it’s a team that doesn’t give up, that fights until the last minute, and that plays with heart. In the semifinal against the United States, they defeated a rival 1-0 who started as favorites, but the Leones del Istmo showed their grit and showed that Panamanian football is capable of great things. Watch the winning goal below:
Today, the challenge is even greater, but if anything has characterized this team under Thomas Christiansen, it’s the ability to compete on equal terms with the big teams. Every match has been a battle; every play has been a step closer to this dream. Mexico is a rival with history, titles, and standing, but in football, the past doesn’t matter; what matters is the present. And today, Panama has a date with glory. Since his arrival, Christiansen has instilled a winning mentality in his players. “If we have to chew grass tomorrow, we’ll do it,” the coach said beforehand. And that’s the mentality Panama needs: fight for every ball, every inch of the field, give their opponents no respite, and believe in their own talent. This team has proven it has the ability to prevail in decisive moments. Against the United States, the team played with discipline, intensity, and courage. View the winning goal below. Today, against Mexico, it will be necessary to redouble those efforts, be focused from the first minute, and trust in the work we’ve been doing.
Nothing is impossible when a team plays with heart. The 11 warriors who take the field tonight will not be alone. Behind them is an entire country beating to the same rhythm, cheering with every pass, every shot, and feeling every play as its own. From every corner of Panama, millions of voices will join in a single cry: “Go Panama, this final is ours!” Today, more than ever, the national team needs that unconditional support. The players will feel the backing of their fans, of those who have always believed in this team and of those who dream of seeing Panama win its first major title. Tonight there are no excuses, no fears. This is the moment of glory. It’s the opportunity to raise our heads and show that Panamanian football continues to grow, that we can fight for titles, and that this flag can fly high on the podium. Let’s go all out, Panama! History is waiting to be written.
