Panama’s Party Continues on the Cinta Costera – Police on Duty with Billy Clubs at Carnival

The joyful atmosphere continues on the Cinta Costera during “The Carnival Festival 2025”. Today is the third day of culecos and it is packed with people.  Thousands of Panamanians and foreigners enjoy the activity under the sun.

They also receive plenty of water from the water tankers to the rhythm of the music and the animations on the stage.  For his part, Ricardo Torres Castillo, director of the Metropolitan Health Region, said that they began at 6:00 in the morning with the verification of the tanker trucks to see the issue of water chlorination.

“Today we have five trucks and they all comply with the regulations,” said the official.  Additionally, they carry out inspections at food sales stands.  “In the past few days, we found some violations of the regulations, some stalls with staff that did not have the cards, but basically 95% have complied.

There are some stalls that we have had to confiscate and destroy, because the cold chain has been broken, in addition to stalls with expired food that we proceeded to confiscate,” explained Torres Castillo.
