Perhaps this could be your worst nightmare. An elevator collapses with 10 individuals inside, and fell from the seventh floor of a bank tower building on the Transístmica Highway in Panama City. Colonel Ángel Delgado from the Panama Fire Department said that the people who were extracted are being treated by pre-hospital personnel from private ambulances, the Sume 911 System and by personnel from the Fire Department. Delgado said that 10 people were inside the elevator at the time of the incident, while two others, who were about to board it, panicked when they saw the collapse and were also treated. In general, the occupants were conscious and in good condition. A report said that the victims were evaluated and all are out of danger, and none have a condition that requires immediate care or risks to their lives. Delgado explained that they only have a few bruises and the scare that they suffered from the incident, however two people will be transferred to clinics for a more thorough evaluation, because they have back pain. Delgado said that investigative personnel from the Fire Department, administrative personnel from the bank and from the company that provides the service for the maintenance of these elevators, arrived at the scene to begin to determine what were the causes that generated the accident.
