Dino Mon Ratified by Assembly as New Director of CSS
The National Assembly of Deputies ratified Dino Mon as the new director of the Social Security Fund (CSS) on Wednesday. Mon received 38 votes in favor of his government position, enough to formally take up the post that required a minimum of 36 votes to get the job. The new director takes up the post of CSS with multiple challenges ahead, which he has promised to address in consensus with all the actors involved. Mon stressed that the institution does not come as an actuary, his profession, but as a defender and protector of the insured. Regarding the parametric measures, Mon reiterated that these and other reforms to safeguard the entity do not rest solely in his hands, but on a national call led by the Executive Branch.
