This gentleman on the right who gave himself up is Omar Alexander Ortega Robles, a member of the network linked to drug trafficking and money laundering crimes for acts investigated in Operation Jericho, according to information available in the Public Registry, is the president of Servicios Múltiples Rama SA, a company that contracted with the government in the period 2019-2024, when the Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD) was in power.  According to its operating notice, Servicios Múltiples Rama SA, is dedicated to maintenance and landscape care services (gardens, green areas), pool maintenance and remodeling, among others. However, it sold bottled water and masks at a combined cost of $35,000 in two direct contracts to the Agricultural Marketing Institute (IMA) in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The company obtained contracts with the IMA, the National Assembly, the Ministry of the Presidency and the municipality of San Miguelito. Omar Ortega and Luis Pitti, accused in Operation Jericho, surrendered to the law.  The father, Congressman Raúl Pineda has said, and in writing, that he is “fully willing to collaborate with the authorities” in the investigation that the Public Prosecutor’s Office is carrying out against his son. They say that a confession from one party provides the evidence…The court is still asking for suitable evidence.  Meanwhile, Abraham Rico Pineda, son of the Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD) deputy, Raúl Pineda, whom the Drug Prosecutor’s Office links to a drug trafficking criminal structure, remains at large.  Authorities are offering a $25,000 reward for any information leading to the whereabouts of Pineda Jr.
