Panama Black Week 2024 for Shoppers is September 13 to 15

Every year we wait for this event for the big purchases like TV’s, Audio Systems, Fridges, Stoves, Washers and Dryers and Christmas presents of all types.  This year, Panama Black Week will take place from September 13 to 15, and a total of more than 15 shopping centers will join together with discounts, promotions and offers on clothing, footwear, appliances and other products.  Nadkyi Duque, vice president of the National Chamber of Tourism of Panama and representative of the Panamanian Association of Shopping Centers, said that they hope to attract international buyers from Costa Rica, Ecuador and other countries that traditionally visit the isthmus for shopping tourism, in addition to local consumers.  “We already have confirmation of tourists from Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador and other markets, and hotels, restaurants and entertainment establishments will also join this promotion and offer special discounts during this season,” added Duque, highlighting that this is the seventh edition of this promotion.  He said that an international campaign is being carried out to promote Panama Black Week. Last year, this bargain fair was held from September 26 to October 2.  The vice president of Camtur pointed out that consumption and sales in shopping centers started off slowly this year and they hope that it will pick up again after the electoral period. “We hope that the demand for goods and services will pick up again for the benefit of the entire economy,” said Duque in the framework of a Camtur event where they announced the tourist activities for the rest of the year.
