Cable Cars for San Miguelito by the Mulino Government and Mayor Irma Hernández
Mulino’s Government plans to tender the San Miguelito cable car before the end of 2024. The San Miguelito cable car is a project that has been under study for several years. This goal was announced to the mayor of San Miguelito, Irma Hernández, who was received by the president in his office at the Palacio de Las Garzas. During the meeting, Hernandez reiterated that the cable car project is a necessity for the population of San Miguelito. She also asked Mulino for support in solving the garbage and water crises that plagues the district, and in completing unfinished infrastructure projects. This is a victory for those who dream of a more beautiful district.
Prior to the meeting with the president, the mayor held a coordination meeting with the Secretary of Goals and Minister of Canal Affairs, José Ramón Icaza, to evaluate the status of current projects and align priorities regarding what the residents of the district need, in order to coordinate future projects such as the cable car. She also met with the Minister of the Presidency, Juan Carlos Orillac, who on behalf of the President of the Republic will assist the authorities of San Miguelito in completing pending infrastructure works. An agreement was reached to develop periodic coordination meetings to verify the progress of the cable car and other plans for the district.
