ATTT Are Now Installing Traffic Cameras to Catch Speeders Near the Federal Mall

Be on the lookout throughout Panama for new traffic cameras being installed to catch speeders by taking a picture of your vehicle, and the speed of travel and the ticket will most likely appear on your driving records.  That would mean that you would not be able to renew your drivers license before paying your tickets.  As for disputing the cameras and the photos, good luck with that.  I saw a posting recently in the city of David on a Facebook page where cameras are being located near the Federal Mall.  The Federal Mall was built by the same construction consortium who built the Albrook Mall in Panama City and looks very similar in design.  The Mall is still in the process of filling up store fronts and it looks like it will take some time for full occupancy, but it is coming along nicely.  The Food Court area recently put in a Popeye’s Chicken restaurant and of course McDonald’s was first to arrive.  The Food Court at the Federal Mall in David, still has a long way to go to match the Food Court at the Albrook Mall.
