Three Oscar nomiations for best film

 

The films Oppenheimer, Poor Things, and Barbie were selected on Tuesday in the best film category for the 96th edition of the Oscars, which will be held on March 10 in Los Angeles.

These films will compete with seven other titles in this section: Killers of the Flower Moon, American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Maestro, Past Lives, The Holdovers, and The Zone of Interest.

Filmmakers Christopher Nolan ( Oppenheimer ), Yorgos Lanthimos ( Poor Things ), and Martin Scorsese ( Killers of the Flower Moon ) will compete for the Oscar in the best director category, the Hollywood Academy announced.

Actresses Lily Gladstone, for Killers of the Flower Moon; Carey Mulligan, for Maestro; Emma Stone, for Poor Things; Annette Bening, for Nyad, and Sandra Hüller, for Anatomy of a Fall, were nominated for the Oscar for best actress.
