Tocumen International passengers increased 13.9% in October

 

The Tocumen International Airport closed in October with a cumulative of 14.7 million passengers transported, an increase of 13.95%.

These figures add traffic and connecting passengers and also passengers entering and leaving Panamanian territory.

In October alone, the air terminal transported 1.53 million passengers, of which 73% were connecting or transferring, equivalent to 1.12 million passengers, while those departing and entering from Panama totaled 408,556 passengers.

The number of passengers transported in October increased in absolute terms by 207,647 additional people compared to the 1.43 million in October of last year.

The Tocumen report indicates that the markets with the greatest regional movement in October were South America at 45%, followed by North America at 28%, the Caribbean at 12%, Central America contributed 11%, and the European markets with 5% participation.

31 airlines operate at the Tocumen International Airport, 15 cargo airlines, and 16 passenger airlines.

Currently, flights to 87 destinations operate in Tocumen, through 16 commercial airlines that offer services to the main cities of America and Europe.
