Panamanian citizen  reported kidnapped in Israel

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported  Sunday night that a Panamanian citizen is among the people reported kidnapped in Israel, after the armed incursion on Saturday by the Palestinian group Hamas.

“The Government of Panama informs that Panamanian citizen Daryelis Denises Saez Batista, ID PA0742277, is among those missing after the incursion of the Palestinian group Hamas in southern Israel. “We are in communication with her family and Israeli authorities,” the Ministry reported on social networks.

According to information from the Panamanian authorities, there has been no contact with this person since Friday.

 the armed action by Hamas, the disappearance of hundreds of people, both Israelis and other nationalities, has been reported.

After a new conflict broke out between Israel and the Hamas movement in Gaza, this Saturday, October 7, the Foreign Ministry of Panama reported that it enabled communication channels so that relatives of Panamanians who are in that country can contact them.

It was indicated that if assistance is required they can be contacted via WhatsApp at +972 54-795-9493 and in Israel call 054 7 95 94 93.

Sáez Batista was taking refuge in a bunker in her house in Kibutz Kisofim, in the south of Israel, where clashes were taking place between Hamas militants who invaded from the Gaza Strip and the Israeli army.

She was with her husband, the Mexican David Heiblum. “We lost all contact with them on October 7 at 1:00 pm,” her family members detailed in a statement.

The Israeli ambassador in Panama, Itai Bardov, also reported that, according to the data they have collected, Saéz Batista and her family in Israel were apparently kidnapped.

Meanwhile, the Panamanian Foreign Ministry reported that it is in constant communication with her family and Israeli authorities to find her.

According to official figures, in two days of this new conflict after the terrorist attack, the dead in Israel exceeded 700, and more than 2,200 were injured, while the Gaza Strip recorded at least 493 dead, including 91 children, and 2,751 injured.

Israel declared a state of war last Saturday after Hamas launched multiple attacks, by land, sea, and air.
