Air Europa  expanding flights to Panama & Latin America

 

The Spanish airline Air Europa has announced an expansion plan with an increase in flights and frequencies in the American continent to meet the increase in demand from tourism and business travelers.

In the case of Panama, the airline reported that they expect to increase the offer by 32.4%, which will translate into an increase in the number of weekly flight frequencies from 5 that to 6 as of December.

Between January and July, Air Europa transported 82,992 passengers roundtrip between January and July, an increase of 61.33% compared to the 51,441 passengers that it mobilized in the 7 months of 2022, according to the report of the International Airport of Tocumen.

Diego García, director of Air Europa in the Americas, said, that Panama is one of the fastest-growing markets in Central America and the flights register 90% occupancy.

In the first half of this year, Air Europa transported 1.2 million passengers to and from Latin America in different destinations.

The airline’s new plans will increase the number of seats available throughout the American continent to 3 million. In addition to Panama, the frequency will be increased to Colombia, Venezuela, Paraguay, and Ecuador and flights will be reinforced during the Christmas season to Salvador de Bahía in Brazil, to New York in the United States, and to the Bolivian market.
