Heat and high UV alert

The Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology of Panama (Imhpa) issued a surveillance notice for the entire country on the morning of Thursday, July 20, due to the high thermal sensation it will feel like 42 degrees Celsius and is combined with an alert of ultra-high radiation levels, this surveillance notice will be in force from 9:50 am to 7:00 pm this Thursday. The areas under the advisory are the provinces of Chiriquí, Veraguas, Los Santos, Herrera, Coclé, Panamá Oeste, Panamá, Colón and Darién and the Guna Yala and Emberá regions. The forecaster, Emanuel Velásquez, issued the alert due to the moderate cloud cover that prevails in the country.
