Copa launches new service to Austin, Texas

 

Austin, Texas, the “ Live Music Capital of the World ”, became the 80th destination for Copa Airlines,  from Panama.

From July 6, Austin becomes the first destination of the airline that connects the state of  Texas with the continent through the  Hub of the Americas, located in  Panama City.

Christophe Didier, Copa’s sales manager, explained that Austin is the #15 destination in the United States and it is very important because it strengthens Panama’s connectivity and represents a window of opportunity to increase business and tourism, cultural, and educational exchanges between the Texan capital with Panama and our entire region.

 

The cosmopolitan city of Austin for the last decades it has been characterized by its live music offer where musicians perform throughout the city in clubs, coffee shops, bars, taquerias and concert halls.

The new flight to the host city of the renowned University of Texas at Austin reinforces Copa Airlines’ operation in the United States, joining the fourteen cities of the Airline in the North American country: Tampa, Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Boston,  Chicago, New York, Denver, Washington, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Fort Lauderdale, and  Baltimore.

Flight schedule
The flight to Austin will operate four times a week on  Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, leaving  Panama at 09:18 am and arriving at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) at 2:04 p.m. (local time).  The return flight will depart the same days from Austin at 3:34 pm, arriving in Panama at 8:16 pm (local time ).
