Operation Detroit nets two bank robbery suspects
Two suspects involved in the robbery of the Banistmo bank branch located on the Transístmica highway on May 24− were apprehended on the morning of Wednesday, July 5.
Operation Detroit has led to proceedings in San Miguelito, Alcalde Díaz, and Pueblo Nuevo, by personnel from the Primary Care Section of the Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office in conjunction with the National Police.
The proceedings allowed other people to be verified, as part of the investigation into the theft of more than $22,000 from the branch and the theft of a firearm from the security agent at the bank.
The prosecutor of the Primary Care Section of the Metropolitan area, Sonia Almengor, said that the arrested people will be placed, in the next few hours, at the disposal of a guarantee judge.
