Sex workers and homeless  follow  Stations of the Cross

The John Paul II Center organized,  its traditional Stations of the Cross, on Thursday, April 6   attended 120 people attended with some 120  homeless people and sex workers.

Ariel López, manager of the shelter, stressed that most of the participants were homeless people and sex workers, who prepared the stations for the religious activity.

“The activity is carried out with street dwellers and sex workers, who are cared for in our center.

On Sunday they will celebrate Easter inside the John Paul II Center.

“What we are looking for is to revive the path of Jesus and that regardless of the problems that each person has, remind them that they are loved and respected,” he said.

Inside the Juan Pablo II Center, food, clothing, and basic care are provided to a population of 100 people who live on the streets, although the shelter managers estimate that there may be around 450 homeless people in the neighborhood.
