Panama rescue team heading to site of new Turkey quake
The team of Panamanian rescuers who have been in Turkey for over a week is doing well after a new earthquake reported this Monday, February 20, reported the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc).
According to the entity, the USAR team is heading to the areas affected by the new telluric movement, west of the city of Uzunbag, Hatay province.
The USAR-Panama Group is made up of 20 people specialized in locating, extracting, and stabilizing people trapped in closed spaces or under rubble.
This delegation of Panamanian rescuers arrived in the capital, Istanbul, on February 11.
A new earthquake of magnitude 6.4 shook the Turkish province of Hatay on Monday, one of the most affected by the earthquakes of February 6 that have left at least 41,000 dead.
