Classes in Colón suspended due to rain

The Ministry of Education (Meduca) suspended classes on Monday, November 21, in all official and private schools in the province of Colon, due to the effects of heavy rains that have fallen in the region. 

According to the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc), the extensive downpours caused several rivers and streams to overflow their banks and, in some sectors, landslides occurred. 

Meduca continues to monitor the weather forecasts of the Hydrometeorology Directorate of the Electric Transmission Company, SA (ETESA), in case the rains continue, therefore, it requests the educational communities to stay informed through the official Meduca channels, Sinaproc or ETES
