Tocumen International  projects 52,251  extra passengers over holidays

Between October 28 and November 7, it is estimated that a total of 52,251 additional travelers will be mobilized in the facilities of the Tocumen International Airport, due to national holidays.

Of this total, it is expected that 4,750 pass through the air terminal daily, both entering the country and leaving for various international destinations.

However, these estimates indicate that November 2 would be the one with the highest passenger movement with 5,310 departing passengers.

For November 6, they foresee that the flow will increase to 8,413 passengers for the return to the country.

According to Tocumen SA, among the destinations preferred by Panamanians to travel on these dates are the United States, Colombia, Mexico City, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, and locally, the province of Chiriquí.

Raffoul Arab, the general manager indicated that, together with the entities involved with passenger management, the pertinent measures are coordinated, so that passengers have a good experience when carrying out their exit and entry processes to the country.

To avoid high passenger traffic, they suggest: Arriving at the airport three hours before flight departure, and verifying the validity of passports and travel permits for minors, in order to speed up immigration and security controls.
