Air Canada resumes direct flights to Panama after 2-year hiatus

 

The Canadian flag carrier Air Canada resumes its non-stop operations between Canada and the Tocumen International Airport on November 4, after an absence of two years due to the pandemic.

It will offer 2 weekly flights (Friday and Sunday) on its Toronto/Panama itinerary; As of December 18, the frequencies will be extended on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

The General Manager of Tocumen International, Raffoul Arab, said: “The benefits of Air Canada’s return to Panama will be significant not only from the point of view of connectivity but also that this important decision constitutes an additional means to promote tourism sectors, trade, investment and cultural exchange between the two countries.”

The Tocumen International Airport registered between January and September of this year, traffic of 11.5 million passengers, through 18 commercial airlines that offer services to 84 destinations in America and Europe.
