Sinaproc rescues 10 trapped by floods
Personnel from the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc), rescued 10 people who were trapped on an island after the Chirigagua River flooded, in the Boquerón head sector, in the Boquerón district, Chiriquí province.
The information was released by the entity on Twitter.
The overflow of the river also affected 30 homes in the Muro sector in Tejar de Alanje.
Meanwhile, more than 40 families were affected in the sector known as El Matadero by the overflow of the Divalá River
The rains have had their impact in recent weeks in the province of Chiriquí, where at least 350 homes were affected by flooding on Wednesday.
The authorities reiterate to citizens to be careful when rivers rise and flood.
