Panama-David bus  service restored

The company Terminales David Panamá SA, (TDP) reported on Tuesday night that from 7:30 am, Wednesday, July 27, the transport service of the David-Panama route will resume.

Sussi Díaz, the administrator of the company, said that initially, the trips will only be from David to the capital city since the fleet of 55 buses is all in the province of Chirica.

If all goes well this Wednesday, on Thursday the 28th the trips will resume on both routes (David-Panama and Panama-David) on a regular basis, Díaz said.

He stated that they spent 18 days -since July 9- without providing the service to their thousands of users because they could not travel freely and safely along the Inter-American highway, which remained blocked at different points by the closures.

The cessation of service not only affected thousands of people who travel on our buses, it also harmed 250 families that depend directly and indirectly on the business,” he said.
