Government seeking to justify use of force

The Government’s communication strategy in this crisis is a disgrace. Contact with the media is unquestionably lousy, as such a thing is non-existent. The opportunities provided by the media –including the international ones– for their spokespersons to give explanations and justifications have been wasted, and when they have responded, the hierarchy of the spokesperson does not meet the expectations, not even of the media, much less of society who expects someone with some leadership in the government to report on these negotiations. But ineptitude controls and ignorance decides. Added to this is the despotism of politicians who, feeling attacked by their constituents, with their attitude spray gasoline on citizen outrage, causing tempers to heat up even more. If the negotiators of this government had some sense and if the best were at the head of this Administration –although they do not exist in this government and the president plays the role of the letter h– another would be the panorama, which now worsens with looting, without the police intervening, perhaps with the veiled intention that the protests begin to be condemned and thus justify the use of force. Without a doubt, this government has the worst attitude. – LA  PRENSA, Jul. 12.
