Colombian presidential runner cancels activities over “risk to life
Colombian presidential candidate Rodolfo Hernández canceled his public activities 10 days before the second round with leftist Gustavo Petro, given the “risk” to his life, he announced Thursday on Twitter.
“For my safety, and to guarantee the possibility of a democratic election on June 19, I have made the decision to cancel all my public appearances between now and the elections,” tweeted the millionaire candidate.
“At this moment I am certain that my life is at risk,” he wrote in another message.
