House-to-house sweep as covid-19 cases surge

The San Miguelito Health Region of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported  487 active cases of Covid-19 as of Monday, May 2.

To detect more active cases, the Health Department carried out, on Saturday, a house-to-house sweep in the Rufina Alfaro township. More than 100 people underwent swabs, with the support of the traceability team and health promoters.

The Minsa recalled that the timely detection of positive cases of Covid-19 allows the rapid isolation of the affected person and thus be able to activate traceability for the search for contacts.
