Social Security green alert for holidays

The  Social Security Service (CSS has declared an institutional green alert at the national level from noon on Friday, December 24, until 7:00 am on Monday, December 27.

The measure will be reactivated from noon on Friday, December 31, measure will be reactivated until 7:00 a.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022, for the New Year holiday and celebrations.

The alert includes the review and update of supplies,  and medicines for emergency management, the reinforcement of personnel in emergency services and pre-hospital services, among other measures.

The authorities have reiterated the call to the public to maintain self-care of health, to avoid eating poorly prepared food and excessive intake of alcoholic beverages.

The CSS  has called  on partygoers  to have a designated driver and to keep children under surveillance when going to beaches and rivers. It is also requested not to promote or allow the use of fireworks by minors, which is one of the causes of the visit of infants to the emergency rooms.
