Holiday weekend two dead, 4,702 ticketed
Luis Hernández, from the National Directorate of Traffic Operations of the National Police, revealed on Monday, November 29, that during the national holidays there were two deaths from traffic accidents.
During the last 72 hours, there were 264 traffic accidents, which left a total of 47 injured.
Police issued 4,702 tickets, of which 176 were for driving “under the influence of alcohol.”
A total of 1,369 fines were also imposed for speeding driving during the celebration of Panama’s independence from Spain.
