Two Health Ministry probes of anti-vaxxer lies
The General Directorate of Public Health of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) is undertaking two investigations related to the dissemination, by anti-vaccine groups, of statistics that “are not true.” said the Health Minister, Luis Francisco Sucre on Monday, November 25.
“Those who say things that are not true, with the sole objective of frightening people, the General Directorate of Public Health will have to carry out investigations and verify that what they are saying is true,” he said.
Sucre emphasized that they are respectful of all opinions, but that they have asked that every time they want to affirm something they have data, information and be based on statistical and scientific data.
“What they cannot do is lie to people and falsify statistics,” he said.
In Panama, more than 5.7 million doses of anticovid vaccines have been applied.
