US lowers covid advisory bar for Panama bound travelers
The United States has lowered the travel advisory bar for citizens traveling to Panama from level 4 to level 3.
Level 4 indicates that it is not advisable to travel due to the high incidence of coronavirus.
Level 3 says that Panama maintains a “high level of Covid-19,” but the risk of contracting the respiratory virus and developing severe symptoms may be less if it is fully vaccinated with a vaccine authorized by the FDA.
“Today they lowered to ‘level 3’ in the alert to travelers from the US, which sends the correct signal about the work of Panama in the control of the pandemic to generate greater mobility of tourists and reactivate the economy,” said Panama Foreign Minister, Erika Mouynes on her Twitter account.
