At least 14 injured in overturned bus
At least 14 people were injured when a bus carrying a women’s soccer team overturned on a curve on the Soná-Santiago road, near El Marañón in the province of Veraguas, on Sunday, September 26.
The team from Sona was returning from a fixture in Río de Jesús.
According to the National Police, which is investigating the cause that led the driver to lose control of the bus, 27 people were traveling in the vehicle, of which 14 were injured and beaten. In addition to the athletes, family and friends were on the bus.
Initially, the injured were treated by residents of the area and later by members of the Fire Department and the National Police.
