Seven townships report over 20 new covid cases

 At a time when the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO)  reports that Panama has reached a plateau of infections of the covid-19 , seven townships have registered at least 20 new cases in the last hours.

The sectors with the most cases are between the provinces of Panama and Panama Oeste.

According to the statistics released by the Ministry of Health (Minsa), in its epidemiological report, the town of San Francisco (Panama) was the one with the most new positives with 31. They were followed by Vista Alegre (Panama Oeste) and Omar Torrijos (San Miguelito , Panama) with 29 cases each.

Three other townships with more than 20 cases are Arraiján (Panama West) with 24, Alcalde Díaz (Panama) with 22, and Burunga (Panama West) with 21.

Active cases nationwide total 10,964. There are 10,435 people in home isolation, of which 10,140 are at home and 295 are in hotels. There are 529 hospitalized, of which 411 are in the ward and 118 in ICU.
