Health Minister awaits report on clandestine high-level party

Health Minister Luis Francisco Sucre, said on Thursday, August 12, that he is waiting for the official report from the Regional Directorate of Veraguas on a party that took place in that province in the midst of the pandemic attended by officials in high positions.

On July 6, in the Tuesday conference, Sucre warned that “any public official who participates in clandestine parties, parking lots or mass activities, will be removed from his position since it puts his health, collective public health, and his family and co-workers ”.

On Thursday during a tour of a Covid-19 vaccination center in the Juan Díaz district. he said:

“The first thing to do is for the region’s authority to carry out the corresponding investigations. We do not have any complaints, however, we have seen through photos and social networks that there was a meeting, ”

The minister said that what he knows so far is that there was a participation limit of 30 people. “But in the end, what we need is for the director of the region to send us a report on what really happened, and then make a decision,”

The Health Minister reiterated that he must adhere to what the regulations say. “I cannot go beyond the regulations. The director of the region must send the report. Let’s hope that we get to make some kind of decision by then ”

Last weekend, Ana María Zuleta Madriz, an official of the Presidency of the Republic and a close collaborator of President Laurentino Cortizo, organized a birthday celebration that was enlivened by performers Sammy and Sandra Sandoval, and Osvaldo Ayala.

The celebration was also attended by the Minister of Labor, Doris Zapata, who appears in photos with the birthday girl.
